High Wycombe 2006
Podhale Oldham were proud to represent the Oldham and the surrounding areas at the festival of Polish dance in High Wycombe. Thirty four members from the dance troupe attended. This following caption was obtained from a local paper.

Polish Dance Spectacular 2006

The colour, excitement and spectacle of Polish dance, and music can be seen at The Swan Theatre - High Wycombe, Bucks on February 11th and 12th 2006.

Over two days the UK’s largest gathering of Polish folk performers, featuring 13 groups around 350 performers, from across the UK will take to stage to bring Polish culture alive.

From the fiery elegance and grandeur of national dance, the Mazur, to the acrobatic feats of strength found in the rural dances of the Carpathian Mountains The 6th Festival of Polish Folklore in Great Britain has it all.

Held every three years the festival brings together the UK’s large Polish community -of which there are many thousands- for a celebration of their homeland’s folklore.
